Fall Youth Musical Theatre Classes
The Phoenix Theatre Company is dedicated to making the arts accessible to children and young adults of all ages and abilities through our youth programming. Due to a high volume of interest, we are pleased to offer three fifteen-week courses for Fall 2026.
Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where young people can communicate their thoughts and feelings effectively through the arts while developing confidence, a positive sense of self, and nurturing their inner artist. All our staff members have previous experience in the arts, as well as working with children, and they are tasked with developing each child’s unique talents and form of expression.
Fall 2026 youth classes run weekly from August 29th to December 12th with October 10th off for fall break. Join our premiere professional arts organization in creating something special for your child this semester! Class sizes are limited so early registration is recommended!
Know a child on the Autism Spectrum who is looking for a fun theatrical experience? We offer inclusive classes for all students through our partnership with Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center. We offer our Little Playmakers class for students ages 4-7 and our Junior Troupers classes for ages 8-10 and ages 11-17. All classes meet on Saturday mornings – Little Playmakers from 9:00-10:30 AM followed by Junior Troupers from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM.
Little Playmakers – BE THE SPARK
Ages 4 – 7

Every great adventure begins with one brave step! In “Be the Spark”, our Little Playmakers will sing, dance, and act their way through stories of courage, kindness, and standing up for what’s right. Inspired by musicals where ordinary people make an extraordinary difference, students will build confidence, creativity, and teamwork while learning foundational musical theatre skills in a fun and supportive environment. Join us as we discover that even the smallest spark can light up the world!
Junior Troupers – RAISE YOUR VOICE A
Ages 8 – 10
Saturdays from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM | August 29th – December 12th, 2026

Musical theatre has always celebrated the people who dare to dream big and make a difference. In Raise Your Voice A, students will explore songs, scenes, and choreography from inspiring musicals like Les Misérables, Suffs, Hamilton, Newsies, and more. Designed for young performers ages 8–10, this class focuses on building a strong foundation in acting, singing, and dancing while developing confidence, creativity, and teamwork. Students will learn musical theatre techniques, practice performing as an ensemble, and bring inspiring stories to life through age-appropriate material. Throughout the semester, students will rehearse music, choreography, and scenes in preparation for a final performance for family and friends.
Junior Troupers – RAISE YOUR VOICE B
Ages 11 – 17
Saturdays from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM | August 29th – December 12th, 2026

Musical theatre has always given performers the opportunity to tell powerful stories, dream big, and make their voices heard. In Raise Your Voice B, students will explore songs, scenes, and choreography from inspiring musicals like Les Misérables, Suffs, Hamilton, Newsies, and more. Designed for young performers ages 11–17, this class builds on foundational skills in acting, singing, and dancing while encouraging students to develop greater confidence, creativity, and individuality as performers. Students will strengthen their musical theatre technique, explore character and storytelling, and take on more challenging material as they grow as artists. Throughout the semester, students will rehearse music, choreography, and scenes in preparation for a final performance for family and friends.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Please give full consideration to your plans before signing up for classes! Our classes are limited in size to give each student the best experience possible. Full refunds are available only with a minimum of two weeks’ advance notice from our first day of class (August 15th). If a cancellation is made after the start of your class, no monies will be refunded. This refund policy is enforced regardless of your reason for cancellation.
Scholarships
Through the generosity of our donors, The Phoenix Theatre Company is pleased to offer scholarships for students with challenging economic needs. Since scholarship money is limited and will cover only a portion of the cost to attend classes, we will only be able to consider those requests received by August 9th at 11:59 PM. Enter off of McDowell & Alvarado or Central & Coronado. Free parking is available in the North lot. Our classroom is in Rehearsal Room B, off of the Hardes Theatre lobby in the far-left corner of the courtyard.
