The Artistic Appetizer

Hosted by The Phoenix Theatre Company’s Resident Dramaturge, Michelle Chin, The Artistic Appetizer is an engaging pre-show conversation that peels back the curtain on a production’s origins. Think of it as a bite-sized preview, a chance to hear how a play’s themes, history, and creative vision come together onstage. Guests enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and the opportunity to connect with the creatives behind the story before the performance begins. Pair it with a stop at our ArtBar+Bistro for even more to savor.

Artistic Director’s Series

Exclusively for donors who contribute $250+ annually and our subscribers, the Artistic Director’s Series offers an inside look at the artistry that shapes our season. Led by Producing Artistic Director Michael Barnard alongside guest artists, this Saturday morning program features demonstrations and conversations on topics such as directing, costuming, scenic design, dialects, and dance. Designed to inspire curiosity and deepen appreciation, the series gives participants a front-row seat to the vision and work of theatre makers.

Guided by Jenny Weintraub, our Patron Concierge Manager for New Subscribers, this special offering gives subscribers an inside look at all backstage areas of The Phoenix Theatre Company, including the scene, paint, and costume shops that bring our spectacular shows to life.
