Sarah Wiechman is thrilled to be returning to The Phoenix Theatre Company stages in a new and exciting role as choreographer! After training at the Metropolitan Ballet of Wichita and graduating with a BFA in Dance from Wichita State University, Sarah made her way to NYC where she began her career in dance and theatre. While in NYC, she had the opportunity to collaborate and create with dance companies such as Adams Company Dance, Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre, Genesis Dance Company and was the co-artistic director of kerPlunk dance company. She has presented her own work nationally in venues like the Kennedy Center (DC), Jacob’s Pillow (NYC), The Philadelphia Fringe, and Dance in the Desert Festival (Las Vegas). After moving to AZ, she started exploring choreography in a theatric sense and has worked on shows like “Urinetown”, “Spamalot”, and “Shrek the Musical”. She is passionate about the creative process and enjoys exploring ways to move that help enrich and connect the storyline! Thanks to all my friends and family for the love and support!
