WILLIAM PARTLAN
Bill teaches directing and acting at ASU and serves as Artistic Director for the Theatre Program. Professionally, he has directed over 100 Off-Broadway, regional and international premieres. His production of Triple Espresso has performed in 54 American cities, Canada, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, and London’s West End. Selected Directing Credits:Off-Broadway: ALL GOD’S DANGERS, starring Cleavon Little, (broadcast on PBS American Playhouse), THE BEST OF FRIENDS (American premiere produced by Michael Douglas), LEADER OF THE PACK (pre-Broadway premier), SWIM VISIT and SACRED JOURNEY at Primary Stages. Regional Theatres: Actors Theatre of Louisville, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Alliance Theatre, Cricket Theatre (Artistic Director for 9 years), Milwaukee Repertory, Mixed Blood Theatre, Philadelphia Festival, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Trinity Repertory, Virginia Stage and Yale Repertory. O’Neill Playwrights Conference: (44 plays) including premiers by David Lindsay-Abaire, John Patrick Shanley and August Wilson.
