Olivia Martinez is 16 and is honored beyond words to be able to direct Playfest 2023-‘24. Playfest holds an exceptional place in her heart, as she was in the very first one ever, four years ago, and was able to sound design for it last year. She loves seeing all the young talent from across the valley come together to create something unique and entirely new. She would love to thank Rose, Maria, and Max for being the most wonderful co-directors she could’ve ever dreamed of and Kat for being an amazing friend and for creating her beautiful show. She’d also love to thank Kenny, Josh, Deb, her family and friends, TJ, Maxx, Bandit, the other playwrights, and her wonderful cast and crew. Olivia would like to dedicate this show to her mom, Diana. “Mom, you have constantly inspired me to go after my dreams and to always pursue my goals, and without you, I wouldn’t have anything to dream about.
