A.R. Cohen/Corwin

A.R. is a playwright as well as a new-play development director and dramaturge. She earned her MFA in Theater – Dramatic Writing from Arizona State University. Her play en-DANGER!-ed was featured in The Phoenix Theatre Company’s 2021 Festival of New American Theatre. Other recent playwriting accolades include: How to Save the Polar Bear was published by Concord Theatricals-Samuel French in Summer 2021, and Say Goodbye is a 2022 finalist in the national Jewish Plays Project competition - vote for her play at http://jewishplaysproject.com 

A.R. currently teaches in the Sidney Poitier New American Film School at ASU. She is also a community organizer and regularly works with kānaka maoli (Native Hawaiian) groups on creative advocacy campaigns to stop cultural and environmental desecration on the island of Maui.
