Austin's musical career began as a drummer at 9 years old. Heavily influenced by none other than Bill Black (Elvis’ upright bass man), Austin transitioned to the upright bass, giving the credit for his classic rhythmic slap to his percussion years. In high school, Austin discovered a love of performing as a member of the Jets’ gang in West Side Story, and providing hair and wardrobe styling to other cast members. Working as a barber in a traditional-style barbershop by day, Austin plays bass for ’56 and other Phoenix-based rockabilly bands, and is known for his energetic stage performance and stunts.

Bill Scott Sheets*
Oklahoma born and raised, Bill Scott Sheets is a Chicago-based actor/musician. He was classically trained as an operatic baritone, but country music has always been in his blood. In addition to musicals and operas, he has performed as a singer and (fair to middling) guitarist with bands around Oklahoma and Chicago. This will be his fourth time performing as Cash, and his first time being this far West. Musical Theatre credits include: Don Quixote in The Man of La Mancha, the titular role of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Jaime in The Last Five Years. Opera Credits include: Il Conte d’Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Il Sergente in L’Elixir d’Amore, and Frank in Die Fledermaus. Bill thanks his friends, family, teachers, and God for their love and support. He would like to make one request: that the audience enjoy the hell out of themselves and holler so loud they scare the ushers.
